Volvo won the DigiAwards “Best use of Facebook” accolade for it’s global unveiling of the Volvo S60. The DigiAwards are run by CorpComms, a leading UK marketing magazine.

Volvo’s manager of Broadcast & Social Media Relations, Peter Ganjbar said “This prestigious award is very encouraging for Volvo Cars’ PR team and our partner, OgilvyPR.”

Facts & Figures from the Volvo Facebook “take-over”:
- Visits to the Volvo fan page increased 6.5 times to 4,038 and 2,265 on the two launch days
- Comments increased 8 times higher
- Views of the Crash Test Lab anniversary page was 2,877,143
- A single post alone generated 940 individual comments in two hours
- Volvo Facebook page activity at Volvo Crash Test Centre became a national news story in Sweden
